Miss Iggy

I thought I'd share some pics of my favourite little lady, Iggy. She is extremely lazy and loves to sleep and eat all day.  She enjoys playing with toys but prefers to chew on my hands. She makes me laugh with her funny faces and is turning two next month.

Palm Springs!!

Apologies for things being a wee bit quiet here on the old blog.  We took advantage of my husband's mini-break from work and went to Palm springs for a few days.  It was such a nice little getaway.  We loved lounging by the pool at our hotel, riding bikes down residential streets and checking out the AMAZING architecture and visiting the mid-century modern furniture stores.  And we managed most of these activities with Iggy in tow.  I love how dog-friendly California is!

*why is it that waiters always assume that ribs are for men and not women???

Thanksgiving Thursday

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I just spent a quiet day with my husband and pooch hiking in Solstice Canyon, baking gluten-free white chocolate and macadamia cookies, watching old movies on netflix and cooking a scrumptious dinner of duck breast in plum sauce with garlic mash and string beans.  I love my days with my little family.

Iggy in the Land of Nod

I'm falling a little behind with my painting so I'm posting some photos of Iggy instead, I hope that's ok.  Happy weekend!

A Little Drifter named Micaela

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Micaela of The Drifter and the Gypsy.  We went to a couple of galleries, had a cup of tea and did a spot of (window!) shopping.  She is a total sweetie.  Thanks for the wonderful day!

Our New Best Friend

Meet Iggy - she is a french bulldog and a couch potato.  She is almost 18 months old, pulls funny faces and has a very sweet temperament.  She is also a little naughty and needs more training.  We love her to bits!
